Yam cooked with crushed red chilies and stir-fried with shallots, curry leaves and ginger

 500 g Yam
 8 Dried red chillies
 100 g Shallots
 1 Curry leaves
 1 tsp Mustard seeds
 ½ tsp Turmeric powder
 1 Ginger
 1 Garlic
 50 ml Coconut oil
 Salt to taste

Peel the yam and cut into dices. Wash well and boil in plenty of water with turmeric and salt. Drain and keep aside once its done.

Peel and slice shallots.
Peel the ginger and garlic and crush it along with red chilly

Heat coconut oil. Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves. Sauté sliced shallots, add crushed ingredients and sauté well.

Add 1/4 tsp turmeric and saute. Add boiled yam pieces and stir-fry well.
Check for the seasoning and remove from the fire.

Serve hot with boiled rice and sides.
