Korean Honey Chilly Fish

Korean style sweet and hot fish. Flaky fish marinated with chilli paste, honey, rice vinegar, and seasonings, pan fried to perfection can be served with well cooked rice and stir fried vegetables. Korean dishes are famous for its spiciness and tangyness. The Gochujang sauce is the typical chilli sauce used in Korean cuisine to impart the unique pungency to the dish. Fish or chicken can be used in this preparation. Marinated pan fried Honey chilli fish is a favorite of mine and loved to prepare and eating at any ocassions.

 500 g Boneless flaky fish( Basa/Cod/Snapper)
 1 tbsp Honey
 1 tbsp Gochujang sauce(hot chilli sauce)
 ½ tsp Soy sauce
 1 tsp Rice vinegar
 1 tsp Chopped ginger
 1 tsp Garlic
 ½ tsp Chilli paste
 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
 1 tbsp Sesame oil
 Salt and pepper

Cut the fish into medium size steaks.
Prepare the marination by mixing all the ingredients except sesame seeds together and leave it for 2 hours.

Heat little oil in a skillet, Pan fry the fish on both sides till the fish has done completely.
Transfer to a plate.
Heat remaining marinade to a nice sauce and pour over the fish. Garnish with the toasted sesame seeds.
Serve with steamed rice and stir fried vegetables
