Moroccan Harissa Grilled Chicken- This is a typical grilled chicken from Northern Africa. Harissa is a condiment or marinade or sauce which is quite popular in this region of the world. Basically a red chilli based sauce, it is made by red chillies, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander,olive oil and caraway seeds. tomatoes also were pureed along with the spices to get a rich red sauce which can use as a marinade or condiment. Here the chicken is marinated with Harissa marinade along with lemon juice and coriander leaves and grilled to perfection. Itis served with grilled tomatoes and lemon which can be an excellent starter or snacks in an evening. The real North African flavors along with the healthy influence of Mediterranean cuisine , this dish has depth of flavors and taste.

For Harissa paste

Clean and wash the thigh pieces of chicken. If you are using full chicken then cut the chicken into 12 pieces.
Peel the garlic in the main list and chop.

Boil red chilly for a while, strain and keep.
Char grill the red capsicum , keep covered in a plastic bag, then peel the outer covering, remove seeds and keep
Peel garlic and keep
Put chilly, garlic and capsicum into a blender along with all other ingredients under Harissa and blend to a coarse paste. keep aside

Chop the garlic finely. Marinate the chicken with all other ingredients and keep refrigerated for two hours.

Flame the grill and place the marinated chicken over that and grill both sides till it done.
grill some sliced tomatoes and lemon and serve along with Harissa chicken.
